Characteristics
- Foliage: Its evergreen, heart-shaped leaves are a deep green marbled with beautiful flecks and streaks of golden yellow. The intensity of the variegation varies depending on light exposure.
- Light: Extremely adaptable, it tolerates a wide range of light conditions, from low light to bright, indirect light. Brighter exposure (without direct sun) will encourage more variegated and colourful foliage.
- Habit: It has a natural trailing habit, ideal for hanging baskets, but can also be trained to climb a support or trellis, attaching itself with its aerial roots.
- Growth: Its growth is fast and vigorous. Its vines can easily grow several feet in a single year under good conditions.
- Humidity: It is not demanding and adapts perfectly to the normal ambient humidity of a home.
- Potting Mix: A universal, well-draining potting mix for houseplants is all it needs.
- Temperature: It thrives in standard indoor temperatures, between 18°C and 29°C.
- Watering: Allow the soil to dry a few inches from the surface between waterings. One of its great advantages is that it visibly shows when it's thirsty: its leaves will droop slightly.
- Resistances: Exceptionally resistant to drought, forgotten waterings, and low-light conditions.
Use
- Types of Use: It is the quintessential plant for hanging baskets, for trailing from the tops of bookshelves and cabinets, or for dressing up a wall with a trellis. Its versatility is almost limitless.

Care
- Fertilizing: Apply a liquid houseplant fertilizer about once a month during the growing season (spring and summer).

Memories of the Camino
Format: Paperback
First off, I have to say that my husband and I know Angela, the author. We met her because she is a neighbor of my sister, living in Hawaii. We discovered that she planned to walk the Camino de Santiago de Compostela the same year we were (2016) ! On a visit to Hawaii, we met with Angela and did a little local hike together. She was so enthusiastic and had prepared well. We, too, had been reading up and watching videos, getting suggestions as to what to bring, how to deal with physical issues and weather, what to pack and what not to pack, etc. Still, for anyone doing the Camino - whether the WHOLE 500 miles or doing the required 100 km to get the certificate at the final destination: Santiago de Compostela, Spain - it is a very personal endeavor. Reading Angela Leslee's book gives you the personal story of her "camino," and it is captivating. The changes that take place in her life - the discoveries she makes, the people she meets, the failures she feels, the fears, the habits that get broken (such as food choices!) - all make for an adventure that is life-changing and an interesting read. For anyone considering this pilgrimage, because that's what it is, this book will inspire you. You don't need to be part of a "group." You don't need a lot of plans. You do need to be prepared to be changed. The memory for myself and my husband is that it is the best shared experience we have had together in our 50 years of marriage! Angela's book brought back so many wonderful memories for us. I highly recommend this book.

Feeling Inspired!
Format: Paperback
Reading "The Way of Love" has inspired and encouraged me as I plan for my first (solo) Camino. I thank Angela Leslee for being unafraid to bare all the emotions in her book: the joys, victories, setbacks, disappointments, and pain. It's evident that "The Way of Love" was a labor of love as page after page recounts the 500 miles she walked! I told the author in an email that, in September, when I walk my Camino, I'll be sure to be up and out on the trail "...before sunrise when the yellow street lights cast their magical glow." Can't wait to experience that! "The Way of Love" -- easy to read and enjoy.

An Honest Tale

When someone you know writes a heart-felt story of a journey of self-discovery, it's startling to realize how little you knew of their self. Walking the Camino across Spain in 40 days of pain and revelations, Angela takes us on an epic journey into her soul. She marvels, delights, laughs, and cries at the breath-taking scenery, the scents of forests and fields of flowers and grasses, the fellow pilgrims she meets and re-encounters across the 40 days. Day by day we travel with her. Her account of everyday life on the journey is vivid.
I recommend this book to everyone who has been, or wants to go, on a voyage of self-examination, who wants to question why they are living in the way they are. Maybe life could be different, if one took time to try a different way.
