Children in Ukraine
Before the war in Ukraine, we had a partnership with the Heart Institute of Kiev, providing charitable help and support to children with heart diseases. Unfortunately, this was interrupted by the war who provoked many refugees.
That one is the reason why we ask for your support.
We plan to provide surgical care to 20 children refugees from Ukraine within 2023, who suffer from heart diseases. A volunteer team of surgeons and medical staff is currently on standby to operate under the direction of Professor Kalangos at the IASO Children's Hospital in Athens. Your support will contribute to financing transportation, accommodation, and medical expenses.

That one is the reason why we ask for your support. We plan to provide surgical care to 20 children from Ukraine within 2022 who suffer from heart diseases. A volunteer team of surgeons and medical staff is currently on standby to operate on several children living in Ukraine under the direction of Professor Kalangos at the IASO Children's Hospital in Athens. Your support will contribute to financing transportation, accommodation, and medical expenses.

The Kalangos Foundation has estimated the incompressible global costs for surgical care of a child suffering from heart diseases, refugee from Ukraine as follows:
Cost of hospital fees (including surgery)
An average cost has been estimated at 15,000 euros per child, including surgery at the IASO Children's Hospital in Athens, Greece.
Cost of medical devices & tools
This cost varies between 4,000 to 9,000 euros per child and depends on their case (valvular prosthesis or homograft, etc.).
