From the 1950s, a black cocktail dress with elbow-length gusseted sleeves, nipped waist, slim skirt, low squared back, and a dramatic, sculptural detail and fringed swag at left hip.  Beautifully constructed with dressmaker details including lingerie stays and strategic darts in all the right places. Fiber/Care: no tags, silk in a substantial and luxurious weave, dry-clean

Condition: no flaws to note. the skirt looks rather short on Delphine, but she's over 6 ft. tall with 36" inseam, and we suspect this dress was made for a much shorter woman.

 bodice: 15"/38cm
 bust: 32"/81.25cm + darts
 waist: 24"/61cm (fits Delphine's 24" waist without a problem)
 hips: max 41"/104cm
 length: 37"/94cm + 2.5"/6cm hem

For reference, this dress fits Delphine easily and well, and she measures b: 32, w: 24, h: 35.25 *
