QuikClot Combat Gauze® LE is a 3-inch x 4-yard strip of z-folded soft, white, nonwoven, hydrophilic gauze impregnated with kaolin, an inorganic mineral that is both safe and effective in accelerating the body’s natural clotting cascade without any exothermic reactions or use of animal or human proteins.   

QuikClot Combat Gauze® LE, Item #350, is packaged in an easy-tear pouch, contains an X-ray detectable strip for easy identification, and has five-year expiration.

Combat Gauze XL...

QuikClot Combat Gauze XL is the same great product as Combat Gauze but in a larger double thickness, 4" x 4 yd size. It provides the ease of gauze but with an added clotting agent embedded within providing the power to stop even the worst arterial and venous bleeding. Based on a different mineral than zeolite-based QuikClot products, Combat Gauze generates no heat. It shares the benefit of being inert and non-allergenic.

To use, simply pack Combat Gauze XL dressing into the wound and apply pressure for 3-5 minutes. Even the most traumatic arterial and venous bleeding is stopped. QuikClot Combat Gauze XL is so pliable that it conforms to virtually any size or shape of injury. It is easily removed once clotting has taken place.
