This was my first book by Catherine Cowles, and I loved the tension and pining woven throughout the story. The emotional pull between the characters really stood out to me, and I found myself completely invested in their dynamic. Even though it’s a shorter story, it didn’t feel lacking ~ if anything, I just wanted more by the end. I’m so glad I already have several of her books on my shelves because this definitely made me excited to keep reading. A solid 4-star read and such a great introduction to her writing.
