I'm not a professional photographer so I'm sure there are better ways to prevent this with improved lighting techniques.

Condition: The satin is in excellent condition, the only structure weakness I see is the back seam of the skirt part of the robe, the seam should probably be reinforced as the fabric is thinning in one or two areas right at the stitching, no holes or tears and the seam is in tact. Two of the silk loops are fraying where they are stitched to the robe. One of the sleeve cuff buttons needs new silk covering, the fabric has worn mostly off. The buttons down the front of the robe are in great condition but I would tighten the stitching as some of them 'hang'/dangle. The 12 loops and 12 buttons down the front all are present and accounted for. Needs a light cleaning overall, the right cuff has rust marks and there are a few rusty type surface spots on the robe, I show images of this. Lots to write but most are simple fixes.
The lace is in remarkable shape!
