WHO WE ARE
HOPEgenesis was founded in 2015 by Dr. Stefanos Chandakas MD MBA PhD, Obstetrician - Gynecologist and Minimal Access Surgeon.
The members of the Executive Board are 16 experienced professionals with backgrounds from various fields such as health-care, media-communication, business development, marketing and culture. The team is supported by gynecologists, nurses, midwives, administrative staff and volunteers who all share the same goals and vision with HOPEgenesis.
Currently, 60 volunteers, most of whom are involved in day to day operations, have signed up.
In just over a year more than 1500 people have joined HOPEgenesis by becoming Friends. Their support has been critical in establishing this Non Profit Organization; without their support we would not be here today.
Moreover, more than 80 large Greek corporations are now on board. Their support comes in various forms and is critical to the daily operations of HOPEgenesis.
Our Mentor Board consists of 16 distinguished personalities who have had long experience in helping Greece and are key to our strategy and approach.
In addition, we have established a Scientific Board which consists of 11 renowned scientists from the field of medicine to advise and guide us on medical related issues that arise.
Our Medical Team is made up of 80 doctors and other health care providers located in 15 different regions across Greece.
